Recycling Banks
We are currently making some changes to the recycling
banks around the district, banks may
be temporarily removed from certain sites. If
you require additional information on the recycling banks please
contact customer services on 01702 318111.
Rochford has various recycling banks located around the district
allowing residents to recycle a full range of materials:
- Cans
- Paper
- Glass
- Plastic bottles
- Textiles
- Paper based drinks and liquid food cartons
(Please note: not all sites collect all materials due to space
limitations but may collect any combination of the above)
Recycling banks Code of Conduct
- Squash all plastic bottles and cans.
- Rinse all glass bottles, glass jars, plastic bottles and
cans
- Remove plastic bottle lids.
- Take your recycling to another site or home with you if the
banks are full.
- Let Recycling know if the bins are full by calling 01702
318111.
- Take carrier bags / cardboard boxes / bottle tops, etc. home
with you if there is no litter bin on site.
- Try to combine trips to the banks with other errands to reduce
car emissions.

Materials which are not collected at any of our recycling banks
can be taken to the Recycling Centre for Household Waste, managed
by Essex County Council, at Castle Road, Rayleigh. Please see the
