A to Z of Recycling Materials
This facility provides information on where to dispose of
materials from your household.
Where possible, the reuse and recycling of materials should always
be considered as a preferred option. Other options are also listed
if you are unable to use the preferred option.
If a material does not appear, please contact Recycling for
advice.
This list will be continually updated with materials and items from
residents enquiries.
Charity shops
In some cases it is suggested that you take certain items to a
charity shop. This option is provided as a guidance and it is
advised that you contact your nearest charity shop to ask whether
that item can be accepted. If taking items to a charity shop,
please ensure that they are in good condition for re-use. For
further information on charity shops in your area, please see the
Related Links section.
Recycling Centre for Household Waste
In some cases it is suggested that certain items can be taken to
the Recycling Centre for Household Waste (RCHW) in Castle Road,
Rayleigh. There are some items that can be taken here to be
recycled and other items that can be taken here to be disposed of
with the general household waste.
Please be aware that any items disposed of in the general household
waste will go to landfill, so please try and reuse or recycle any
items where possible, before choosing this option.
