Energy advice surgeries
Representatives from the Energy Saving Trust have hailed the
Energy Advice Surgeries held in Rochford and Rayleigh libraries in
December 2009 as a success. The surgeries provided a great way to
reach people who may not have otherwise felt confident talking
about their situation over the phone. They also allowed people to
sit down and discuss their situation with a qualified energy
efficiency advisor.
Over 50 people came to the surgeries to get free and impartial
energy saving advice and there were cases where Rochford residents;
financially burdened, but not previously eligible for assistance,
may be able to have their heating systems upgraded at no cost to
them. There were also cases where people who brought along their
bills were able to get advice on tariff switching.
Residents who missed the opportunity to attend the advice
surgeries can still get free and impartial energy efficiency advice
by contacting the Energy Saving Trust on 0800 512012 or by visiting
The Energy Savings Trust website via the related links at the
bottom of this page.
