Social Compact
The Castle Point and Rochford Compacts have been refreshed to
create a single document. With the Local Strategic Partnership
(LSP) and thematic sub-groups merging it made sense to have one
Compact covering both areas. At the LSP Executive meeting on 25th
November 2011 the new Compact was endorsed in principle and it was
agreed to seek the wider views of partners from statutory and
voluntary sector agencies. A consultation period is now underway
before the final approval is given in February 2012.
This new Compact agreement replaces the current Rochford Compact
agreement which has been in place since 2007. The Compact is a
partnership agreement between local voluntary and community sector
organisations and statutory partners to improve their relationship
for mutual advantage.
