Local Strategic Partnership (LSP)
The LSP is the 'partnership of partnerships' operating within
Rochford District involving the main statutory agencies and key
partner agencies brought together by the Rochford Local Strategic
Partnership Executive Board. The main statutory agencies of
the LSP are the District Council, Essex County Council, South East
Essex Primary Care Trust and Essex Police. Along with these
the voluntary and business sectors and key interest groups also
work together to improve the economic, social and environmental
well-being of the District.
The LSP Executive Board is administered by the
Local Strategic Partnership staff based in the Corporate Policy and
Partnerships Unit of Rochford Council.
The five main partnerships that support the
delivery of the LSP's work are:
- The Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership
- The Community Involvement Group
- The Children and Young Peoples Strategic Partnership
- The Healthier Communities and Older Peoples partnership
The strategic vision for how the District will
be developed maintained and enhanced until 2021 are set by the new
Sustainable Community Strategy.
Within the new strategy the seven key areas
that the LSP will focus on are:
- Supporting the ageing population
- Fostering greater community cohesion
- Developing the Community and Voluntary sector
- Increasing accessibility to services
- Keeping Rochford safe
- Encouraging economic development: skills, employments and
enterprise
- Promoting a greener district
The Sustainable Community Strategy 2009 – 2021
was launched at the Rochford LSP Assembly held in April 2009.
