Essex Online Partnership
The Essex Online Partnership (EOLP) was formed in 2002 to work
together to support the development of integrated and accessible
local services to Essex citizens and businesses in ways that are
convenient to them and help the partner organisations become more
efficient. Essex County Council, 11 Essex Districts including
Rochford, Police, Fire and Health are all members of the
partnership.
The EOLP is focusing its work on providing a reliable and secure
infrastructure to enable authorities to work together and enable
joint service delivery, as well as providing advice and guidance to
partners on implementing their e-government programmes.
Successes include the secure network that allows Chelmsford
Borough Council to provide the Business Rates service for Rochford,
and joint procurement initiatives that have resulted in lower
prices for the purchase of IT kit.
