The cleanliness of all acupuncturists, tattooists, semi-permanent skin colourists, cosmetic piercers and electrolysists and their premises and equipment is vital. Clients must have confidence that they will not become infected from their treatment.

We aim to ensure that all acupuncturists, tattooists, semi-permanent skin colourists, cosmetic piercers and electrolysists within our district are registered and comply with Rochford District Councils skin piercing byelaws.

Complaints

Members of the public are encouraged to report acupuncturists, tattooists, semi-permanent skin colourists, cosmetic piercers and electrolysists operating without registration or who are failing to comply with the byelaws to Rochford District Council.

Tacit consent will apply to these applications. This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from the local authority by the end of the target completion period which is 60 days.
