Acupuncture, Tattooing, Semi-permanent Skin Colouring, Cosmetic
Piercing and Electrolysis
All persons wishing to carry on the business of tattooing,
semi-permanent skin colouring, cosmetic piercing (which includes
ear piercing) or electrolysis or the practice of acupuncture in the
Rochford District Council area must register with the
Council.
Legislation: Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act
1982
Issuing Department: Environmental Services.
Financial Requirements: For current fees please see related
documents.
Expiry Date: Re-registration is only required if there is a change
of premises or the 'person' carrying on the business or practice.
For this purpose, 'person' means companies, firms, sole traders
etc.. If the 'person' remains the same, but a new manager is
employed, there is no requirement for re-registration.
