Animal Welfare Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I am going on holiday and need to put
my dog in kennels, how do I find one?
A. Ask family and friends who use
kennels for their own dogs if they can recommend a good one. Call
the kennels to see if you can call and inspect them. Ensure that
the kennels have been licenced by the local council within whose
district they are situated. For details of how premises are
licenced for boarding dogs and a list of licenced kennels in the
Rochford District Council area, please see the Related Links

Department of the council by telephoning 01702 318057 or
emailing environmental.health@rochford.gov.uk
and an officer will investigate your complaint.

those premises. However, the Environmental Protection Unit, Animal
