Animal Welfare Licensing
The Council has a statutory duty to licence Boarding
Establishments for Cats and Dogs; Dog Breeding Establishments; Pet
Shops; Riding Establishments; Owners of Dangerous Wild Animals and
Zoos.

The Council will also investigate all complaints concerning animal
welfare, where we have the power to do so, such as complaints
regarding licenced and alleged unlicenced animal welfare
premises.
